Well, this summer has proven to be just as busy as fast-moving as any summer. I've been busy with working at whole foods, and to my surprise, enjoying it quite a bit. :) My fund raising has been slow but steady, I'm around 30%. I still have a lot to raise, but I know that the money will come in.
My sister Abi finally had her baby last Tuesday. His name is Darren Christopher, and he is just adorable! He's a very quiet boy and I love to hold him. Both Abi and Darren are healthy and doing well. It's fun to see Abi and Ryan "ga ga" over the new member of their family.
So what has God been teaching me this summer? Well, I am learning to face and embrace my past. I've grown so much since I went to college, and I've had this fear of seeing people from high school. Maybe I've been scared about what they would think about the changes I've been through, maybe I don't know what to talk about (I've recently been introduced to the term "social awkwardness" who knew there was such a thing?) I don't know, it could have been a million different fears. However, I've ran into a lot of people from high school, and it has been a huge blessing! It's made this summer so much more fun, I'm definitely at a lack for good words to describe this. I am forever grateful for my friends who overcame their "social awkwardness" to say hello after years of separation. I'm even writing this as I'm waiting to go for a 1am swim with one of them. =) It's just been a blast to see how they've grown as well and how awesome God's provision is in providing refreshing friendships.
